Information
The Didi Galgalu is Helle's newest knife, named after the Didi Galgalu desert in northern Kenya. Born on an expedition of the Great Rift Valley, in 2014, the Didi Galgalu is a collaboration between Helle of Norway and the Voetspore of South Africa: an adventure documentary team who have travelled more than 220,000 kilometers on the African continent and produce a documentary television series for South African television.
Designed for the demanding environment and the rigors of daily life on overland expeditions, the Didi Galgalu features a full tang, and handle construction of African Kiaat wood. A solid blade of 12C27 provides excellent edge retention, as well as excellent all weather performance. The relatively large, 129 mm (5") blade is well suited to butchering, or rugged, general outdoor use.
As with all Helle Knives, the Didi Galgalu comes with a full grain leather sheath, and is backed by a lifetime warranty.
